Staff

Here at Trident we take everything we do personally, this is because the studio is run on a daily basis by just two people; Peter Hughes and Stephen O'Toole.

Engineers, receptionists and tea-boys all rolled into one, you can guarantee that whenever you contact us, you'll always get someone who knows what they are talking about!

For the times though when 2 is not enough, there is a trusted core of freelance engineers that are called upon, including a world accomplished composer and several other highly successful engineers with a long lost of credits to their names.


Peter Hughes

The founder of The Sound Studio in 1993, later to become Trident Studios to reflect the incredible history of the studio. Peter started his career at the classic station; Radio Luxembourg.

Stephen O'Toole

Trident's all-knowing engineer, there is nothing too geeky or technical for him to take on; from maintaining the studio, designing this website, and in-between, still engineering sessions!

Steve Harris

Steve is currently head of live audio for A1GP as well as dubbing mixer for the popular TV series Traffic Cops and Car Crime UK. His audio experience is incredibly varied and diverse.

peregrine andrews

Peregrine "Pez" is a freelance engineer who started at the BBC as a broadcast engineer. With credits for literally hundreds of radio and TV programmes as well as live music, there is little in the world of audio that Peregrine hasn't tackled.

Mike McCleary

Composer and musician, Mike has been producing material for one of India's top artists for the last 10 years, Lucky Ali. His achievemnts as a musician include playing live to 10s of thousands of people and being signed to Virgin records with his band.
